Rolex 1655. I have an Explorer 1 214270, and both an Explorer II 16570 polar and black, the 1655 would be a capstone watch for me. I doubt it will ever happen, but that would be my dream.

War Eagle!

Its a gold speedmaster. The 1980s Apollo 11, if even possible to find, or a LE gold from the 1990s.

This will finish off my watch collecting career. It will also complete my Decades Collection.

I may know of one for sale if your interested. I can ask my friend if he still has it.

Mine is a breitling 765 avi. Three register dial. From 1953.

Any parameters? For example: I can't really afford the Newman Daytona which just sold for ~17mm

My personal grail is an unpolished Blancpain Aqua Lung No Radiation.

I've been chasing that stupid watch for almost 10 years and each year the market price increases by 6 to 10% and the realty of acquisition decreases by a factor of 2.

Dare to dream. Maybe I'll find one at a garage sale one day?

Radial Speedmaster or white gold Speedmaster from 1980. Or one of those cornavin diver watches...

Agreed! The Speedy was holy grail for me too. I had wanted one since I was 9, and finally got it in March, 2017- 24 years later.

The closest "grail" runner up I can think of is the Bremont USNTPS special edition GMT chrono I have on order. Hoping it'll be here by Christmas. Here's a stock photo:

Very cool, sir...and the fact that to qualify for that watch by being a Test Pilot School graduate makes it even cooler. 😎 😎 😎

Non vintage: a Blancpain fifty fathoms in white gold. Limited to 50 pieces world wide. I love the fifty fathoms in general. But the white gold makes it so special and under the radar for me as for most people it will just look like a steel watch.

If we talk about vintage, tough call. So many beautifull designs out there.
But to keep it somewhat realistic:
A Tudor 7169 (both bezel variations) would be some sort of a grail to me. A friend brought one over once, and I can't get that dial out of my head every since.

The re-Edition by Tudor just doesn't cut it for me... to sad.

For me, Grails are defined as either a watch that is so rare as to take years to find, or so expensive as to require a dramatic change in income.

For time sought, I think of the Breitling 765 AVI with digital counter. Truley a rare and fascinating complication. I'd probably put down a Doxa Searambler 300 no-T White Lung. I have only seen ONE in existence.

For silly money, Id go with the MB&F Hodinkee LM101 with SS case and Brown dial. Just a superb execution of an incredible watch to begin with.
