A preproduction Seamaster 176.001, as depicted on an early version of the 1040 movement documentation. Thus, for my grail, I cunningly picked a watch that may very well not actually exist, so that I can keep my quest going forever!

Definitely a solid gold vintage IWC dress watch, as I've mentioned before.

Dream Grail options would be as follows

    IMG_2684.JPG
    IMG_0304.JPG
And can't forget the 1942 42mm Rolex Rattrapant! It's believed that only 12 were ever made! I wish modern chronographs were this thin! ;)

I live vicariously through Instagram. Any one of these would suffice as a grail:

A true grail for the simple reason that it's the price of a (not so) small house:
    Patek-Philippe-5370-split-seconds-chronograph.jpg
£300,000 but I could time my morning pour over and an espresso shot at the same time! Unless I was wearing it backwards ... which I genuinely would ...

Likewise - I truly would consider putting that strap on backwards and wearing it like that. The downside being that I might never get anything done. That's really lovely!
