Just a simple home-cooked meal of spaghetti and meatballs with an added twist of some zucchini strips.

My girl and I tried a newly opened restaurant.

I enjoyed a 12 oz steak

She ordered an Enchilada

To my surprise the steak was really good. It is not that easy to find a good steak house with reasonable prices here in Germany.

Cheers

No pics (sorry) but went out for a celebration last night, and had a nice filet with herbed butter on top, baked potato, and grilled veggies...then cr猫me brulee for dessert with a coffee. Had a couple of Caesars to wash down the meal - haven't had one in months and enjoyed them very much!!

For those not familiar with the drink...

So I have to be good for the next week with my food choices!

I don't know about Caesars, but I know I love creme brulee, mmm...! Especially pistachio creme brulee.

Jerk chicken we made and marinated for a good 30 hours before cooking (tender and spicy!), roasted asparagus, and sliced potatoes and onions in foil with olive oil on the grill...those cooked for about 90 minutes...

When we make the jerk chicken we make it with a bunch of boneless/skinless chicken breasts, let them sit for a day in the fridge, and then freeze a bunch in the marinade in freezer bags. Easy to pull a couple out of the freezer in the morning and defrost in the fridge all day, then chuck it on the grill that night for a quick and tasty meal...

I live in France. It helps if you've had a few drinks beforehand then they are quite tasty!

As you may know: Langostion is a real treat. They are sweet, tender and most difficult to source. They have a shelf life of less than 24 hours and the best are hand harvested. Best enjoyed with a White Burgundy 馃榾

We took the easy route tonight and went to a great new chain that makes healthy tasty food at a reasonable price.

Stacey made a couple of traditional barley medieval loafs of bread with beer as I said I was wanting some good bread without sugar as been in the US for a month. Great tasting with the left over beer and some good cheese. Luv a good hardy bread straight out of the oven..
