What's your favourite strap for your Speedy?

More than with any other watch I know, Speedmasters and the right strap compliment each other perfectly. A good strap can add to any watch. Some beg for the original steel or gold bracelet, others look best with leather or a synthetic strap. But the Speedy - Oh, the Speedy - the right pairing of watch and strap is pure magic!

Based upon my couple of days with my new Speedy, I agree with this statement 110%.

I'd assumed I'd be using the bracelet most of the time, but since putting on one of the straps I bought (thanks to the recommendations from this thread) I've been blow away... I'm not sure I'll ever be put that bracelet back on!

I started as a complete purist. Metal factory band or nothing. Then I saw Speedys in some leather straps and thought, "Oooh, niiiice!" And that was that. I love the synthetic Snoopy straps and also some of the NATO straps. Omega is offering some really nice straps these days as well.

True Dat! It took 14 weeks to come in! However B&S, or Combat Straps have excellent delivery times!

I have no experience with B&S or Combat Straps, but with Heuerville I think the wait is worth it given the price you pay and the quality you get.

Another strong recommendation for Heuerville straps. I couldn't pick just one so went with two...

I don't think anyone makes a better rally strap for a speedy, and I have no regrets with the purchase! Just not a fan of deferred gratification 😁. B&S are priced similarly, and you order from their menu and delivers to Canada in about 4 days from the U.K. Combat Straps delivers in 2.5 weeks and is made to order! Pricing varies depending on leather choice and design, but the Horween straight stitch I just received was similar in pricing to B&S

Hey, @Mad Dog: I've been meaning to mention this for some time now, but have not gotten around to it, for whatever reason: i've always thought your photos demonstrate strong artistic intuition and/or skill - your pics are frequently interesting and very well composed.
They sometimes remind me of photos by Vivian Maier and Cindy Sherman (see respective sample of each below). In other words, this is a long way of saying that I like your photos! (p.s. Did you start off in art or something?) (edit: sorry, OP, for the thread hijak!)

Well...hot dang...thank you very much! I do not have any background/education/training in art or photography (I have a BS in Geology)...but I will say that my mother and both my sisters are professional artists. 👍

It's amazing to me how much a strap can dress up or dress down a Speedmaster. Instead of multiple watches, you can simply have a couple straps and your Speedy is transformed from an office watch to a weekender.

The strap is just a noname vintage style ebay strap.. didn't like it much, it was too firm. Next time I'll try a branded one..

I only have 3 straps, the bracelet that came with my speedy, the nato and the nasa velcro. I love the nato.

This is my current favourite - same as the Silver Snoopy strap but with grey stitching:

Yeah, that's gorgeous. Those are my favorite Speedy straps. No stitching for a traditional black-faced Speedmaster and some white or silver stitching for white-faced models. It's subtle but complimentary. Understated elegance.

Is there a different or full number with regard to ordering a 1171/1 633 bracelet from the OB? It's frustrating that when I called a couple days prior the associate was able to help me and locate the bracelet; however, when calling today a different associate was unable to locate the bracelet, saying that it is not the full reference number.
022ST1171000 is available for 500USD unknown if it includes the 633 endlinks.

022ST1171633 appears to be the part number with the endlinks which are not in stock.

Also, while I have no personal experience with them, theleatherstrap seems to have good looking, reasonably priced two stitch straps as well as this variation on IG & the bay.
