Every one is different. You'll run into good and bad, and good for me may be bad for you. I've got a few bad ones sitting in a box in my closet.

I love looking at the Speedies on straps that fellow members show us here on the Forum. To me, Speedies on straps appeal most of all.

I really like the various hues of brown or tan straps. Here's a FLUCO Horween Shell Cordovan Whiskey strap. It's unlined and thin. Very comfortable to wear.

Strap was new in February of 2015 which is when this photo was taken of the watch on a surface of Texas ice pellets which is about the most "snow" we get.

The strap has aged in a pleasing manner. It still gives perfect satisfaction.

I have to confess that the thought of a Speedy in a black strap also has merit.

Favorite strap for my Speedy is the Omega replica NASA strap that came with my Speedy and its presentation box set. I like it so much that I purchased a second strap [as a backup] from another OF member who was parting out their presentation box set. The Omega replica NASA strap is the most comfortable strap that I own. 👍

We won't talk about the shenanigans that I do with the two Omega replica NASA straps linked together...

This is an early contender for post of the year. 😁

Hirsch Tuscan Terra. Beautiful strap and ages nicely
Currently on a Di Modell Rallye that's great too!

Is there a different or full number with regard to ordering a 1171/1 633 bracelet from the OB? It's frustrating that when I called a couple days prior the associate was able to help me and locate the bracelet; however, when calling today a different associate was unable to locate the bracelet, saying that it is not the full reference number.

Sure, you could also try Ofrei (US) or Cousins (EU - £295).

Just wanted to thank you for your suggestions - Ofrei had none in stock and according to the OB, the model is now discontinued so I went through Cousins UK.

Not sure where you are located, but I called the NY boutique recently and they were able to find it. Decided not to order as I ended up going with a 1479 for $225. Also the 1450 might be a good choice if you can find one.

More than with any other watch I know, Speedmasters and the right strap compliment each other perfectly. A good strap can add to any watch. Some beg for the original steel or gold bracelet, others look best with leather or a synthetic strap. But the Speedy - Oh, the Speedy - the right pairing of watch and strap is pure magic!

I'm loving the Snoopy Cordura myself with the Speedy Pro:

This one is next on my list - l picked up five new straps in anticipation of my new Speedy's arrival, so I'm tapped out for the moment, but based upon the amount of feedback I've received, the Snoopy strap is at the top of my list.

Now if I could just find one with the watch head attached... 😀

Favorite strap for my Speedy [...]

Hey, @Mad Dog: I've been meaning to mention this for some time now, but have not gotten around to it, for whatever reason: i've always thought your photos demonstrate strong artistic intuition and/or skill - your pics are frequently interesting and very well composed.
They sometimes remind me of photos by Vivian Maier and Cindy Sherman (see respective sample of each below). In other words, this is a long way of saying that I like your photos! (p.s. Did you start off in art or something?) (edit: sorry, OP, for the thread hijak!)

But oh! That wait time... 🙁
True Dat! It took 14 weeks to come in! However B&S, or Combat Straps have excellent delivery times!
