With that SNPR site, you've just chucked me way far down the rabbit hole. A strap from that store is going to require a bit of saving. Incredible looking stuff.

Hirsch Leonardo in brown, curved endpieces hug the case quite smartly, adds some contrast to the steel bezel.

Omega Rallye strap in black perf with Omega clasp is the current favorite, NASA vibe, awesome black on black appearance. The white hands really pop this way. Again, can't emphasize enough the curved ends which completely eliminate the gap between the lugs, finishes the look so cleanly, really transforms the watch.

HODINKEE%20HONEY%20SPEEDMASTER_zpsf9ehti1y.jpg

Hodinkee Vintage in honey, perfect changeup for casual Friday with khaki's and loafers. Speedy dresses down so nicely. Patina on hour markers match the ecru stitch at the lugs, quite smart looking.

There website is tough to navigate, but I think I found the alligator straps section.

Does $250 CAD or $175 USD sound about right in terms of price? On my list to buy is a black alligator strap for formal occasions and that's a decent price for a quality strap.
Yes I think that sounds about right.
to add some oil on your fire 😁

Those are amazing!

Strap from IG _aboen. He's on hiatus at the moment.

Is that a conversion

I'm loving those HODINKEE straps. And that Ralleye strap is going to be mine!

I have mine on a Two Stitch Straps cognac leather strap and I love it.

Looks great! Is that the vintage leather one? Don't suppose you could show a bit more of the strap?

+1 on Roverhaven. Myron will build whatever you want in terms of personalization, and you won't find a nicer guy with whom to deal.

I've always been more of a fan of the modern synthetic straps for the Speedy. I have fallen particularly hard for the new DSoM model with it's larger face and all black appearance. And the standard nylon strap for me is the ideal combo. But as I look at the history of the Speedmaster and see all the different styles I have a growing appreciation for the retro-style bands that evoke the early days of our space program. So as I begin to delve into a new obsession - the Speedmaster - I'm thinking I'm gonna need several of them.

When I got my Seamaster I only needed one. Same thing with my Rolex GMT. I've never been a collector, instead being more of an accumulator who wears what he owns. The Speedmaster is breaking me down though and I feel the pull to get my hands on several of these "needful" things. Cripes, this could get expensive!!

What's my favorite strap? The next one... for about a week until I start looking for something new.

Yessir! It's got a really nice color and texture, feels really sturdy as well.
