I wanted one as I thought it was a fun idea but frankly, after reading about all this hysteria, I'm starting to completely lose interest in this release.
Just a few more days and we can all pivot to whatever this years “Palm Fronds” is going to be, shocking and polarizing the watch world (for 15 seconds).

I'd be interested in seeing the organic vs. inorganic growth splits of the revenue figures if available.
I do no think they bought/sold much on the watch area. More interestingly, their reports are showing the result per category.
It is from 2016 (left) to 2020 (right)

Specialist Watchmakers (M€): 3225 - 2879 - 2714 - 2980 - 2859

Sales by product line
Watches: 5098 - 4340 - 4368 - 4930 - 4816

If no way in from the back, then essentially it’s a throw away if anything happens to the movement no? Don’t suppose you can service or replace the movement from the frontside?

I suspect the dial is larger then the opening of the crystal, which means if it can be opened, it would have to be from the back. No one who has one seems to want to post photos that show what I've asked for...yet anyway.

From what i see here i expect it to be opened from the front

And the back seems to be completely closed / one piece:

I don't see myself going through any of this BS for what, in the end, is just a plastic Swatch watch...

So, just wait, and order one online, from swatch.com, at a later date.

Interesting will be amount per store from last night to now there are approx 1000 people in line. There is no way a store can carry that Amount of watches

How’s the weight of it? Does it have some mass to it, or is it very lightweight?

Add to cart is greyed out. Guessing they’re out of stock there. Amazing to come up with an item you can mass produce that lots of people want and be too incompetent to realize that lots of people will want it

It's not that they are out of stock there - they have not been launched online yet.

Swatch were very specific that the launch was in store only, and that at this stage the supply was limited (but the watch is not limited edition - more are coming).

I don't think this is incompetence - I think this is an attempt to (successfully) dominate not just the watch press but global mainstream news in the few days before Watches and Wonders.

No matter what anyone releases next week - the story for the next month is Swatch's £200 MoonSwatch, and the 10's of thousands of people who lined up to buy it. Where stores were shut by the police because it got so out of control.

And in the next month, they'll make them widely available both in store and online.

The launch was all about fυcking up the plans of any other brand that's launching anything next week.

Saw on Reddit that Swatch has been walking back the “available online” claim and any language now about future stock only states “in select stores.”

For what it’s worth, my son in law went to the Omega store at the Houston Galleria…..they had 75 of each model and were all sold YESTERDAY…..
Pardon if this has already been reported.

They'll prolly walk back from that as well. The demand , as well as consumer anger, will be too great for them to pass on this sales channel.

When I first saw the watches that were going to be released I thought that I might pick one up as I thought it would be a nice novelty for the price.....but after learning how these products were going to be available, I'm sure that we all thought about what a debacle the roll out was going to be.......it has been a bad PR stunt and a joke, Swatch group management should be embarrassed on how this was done..... Also, IMHO, they also tarnished a great Maison (Omega).

Way to go guys ::facepalm1::.
