50th Apollo....i was just highlighting before 2019....Omega will most likely issue another LE in 2017, which is the 60th speedmaster... either year they're all going to be Speedys. What they do in one year can be used in the other year and vice versa

How about making the AML dial ceramic and the DON bezel ceramic?
I especially like the DON Ceramic Bezel idea 馃榾

for sure there is a LE 60th anniversary Speedmaster coming ... but they are all tight lipped...

I really like what they did with the 50th... RG/YG/ and Steel all LE options...

It'll be interesting to see them blend the old with the new technology... would like to see ceramic bezel, Zr02 dial, but classic case, applied Logo (old style).. and the manual wind movement with antimagnetic parts, or a co-axial escapment....

sounds interesting your combination of things.... definitely next year's Basel 2017 will be intriguing!

If Omega didn't issue the CK2998 this year they could have easily of issued it in 2017 or 2019 as the Speedmaster 60th or Apollo 11 50th, respectively

They already made a 50th Anniversary Speedmaster for the original model. Maybe Breitling, Rolex, Bulova, and Seiko should make anniversary models too since they've all been worn in space too.

You mean crumbles of Swiss cheese?
Yes.wasn't that obvious? Everyone knows that the moon was made of cheese. I remember reading about it as a child..... 馃榾

That's a good call. Ceramic DON bezel.

IMO it can't be a co-axial 馃槈

Okay, here's what I'd like to see in a Speedmaster......

1) 37mm red rose gold case
2) Black guilloch茅 dial with rose gold Breguet numerals
3) Rose gold hands
4) Slim manual wind 3 hand movement
5) No mention of the word "Speedmaster" or "PROFESSIONAL" on the dial
6) Display back without any word of being certified for space use or worn on the moon

......so basically I'm saying I don't want another boring same-old black dial chronograph. Or in simpler terms, I don't want a Speedmaster. 馃榿 ::stirthepot::

Actually I'd love a platinum case but that would probably render it out of my price point!

Don't worry, they will manage to do this with a SS case... 馃槖

None of the ck2998 silliness of being "approved" by Omega!

If you get yourself "known" and spend up big in the next two years you might get Omega "approved" for a one off 50th "The Hoof" caseback like the infamous, limited edition Huff/(The Hoff). 馃憤 馃槑
