Al, thanks for your explanation of the different case sizes. The longer I am around here, the more I learn and I appreciate your comments. While I am disappointed that I could not get the result I was looking for, I'm not sorry I gave it a try. I can always sell the Great White bezel to recover my cost. I will most certainly be keeping the watch as well. I do a fair amount of international travel so it will see a fair amount of use.

Just as a follow-up to the issues surrounding the dials and cases on the various models, I have a 25382000 Great White GMT in for service right now, along with some other SMP's. Although the comparison is not from both GMT watches (I don't have a black dialed GMT in right now) the dial for the 22545000 is about the same thickness as the dial for the 25345000 GMT. I took these two photos and merged them to show how much thicker the Great White dial is compared to the regular black dial:

Again because the whole movement is set into the case on the front surface of the dial, the thicker dial moves everything further back in the case. This means the case has to be thicker to make the stem center properly in the case tube.

Just thought people may want to see what the difference looks like - it's significant.

Cheers, Al
