I'd say it's a toss up between the Apollo 8 Speedmaster and a Panerai 311

Interesting watch box. Custom?

This Omega F300 was a 25 year service award to the original owner, given in 1977. The original owner passed away in 2011. Whether the original owner wore it for 34 years or not, I don鈥檛 know. But when I acquired it, it needed lots of work, and the family decided to let the watch go. Needless to say, I bought it for a distressed price, serviced the tuning fork movement, and fitted a new crystal. So it is just under 50 years old, and I love it.

Thanks @MtV for starting this thread. I'm late to the party because some of my favorite purchases of last year spent some quality time at my watchmaker.

My Constellation of the year
Well, my only Constellation purchase of last year actually (yes, it's true), a 18k 2652. The ref. was on my shopping list, but I was actually looking forward for a steel version. However, I could not pass on this 18k example with a perfect, non-lume, two-tone honeycomb dial.

My Seamaster of the year
Many thanks to @MtV for honoring my dibs on this nice chronometre rated 2577 with non-lume dial and funky "shooting star" indices. The 352 movement is a bonus. The case appears unpolished so I had to pair it with my best flat link bracelet in my collection.

My chronograph of the year
Oversized Eterna chronograph powered by the Valjoux 71 movement.

The Longines
I couldn't decide which one is the favorite, so I post them all. A 35mm manual wind was on my shopping list, and I'm very happy to have landed a 35mm sector dial after begging to @seekingseaquest repeatedly to let it go. Around the same time, I also managed to purchase a 37mm ref 5045. Finally, a non-lum Longines Conquest 9000, again from @seekingseaquest. Many thanks, Phil!

A carbon fiber UN Freak X was my favorite addition of '24; it's light and people ask me if it's a Swatch (which makes me chuckle).

Only one buy this year - a full set (except outer box) 168.010:
I'm obviously very late to this thread, but couldn't help but notice this looks to have originally been sold on a naval base in Greenland of all places. Very cool!
