At one time I was active in our local NAWCC chapter. The wrist watch collectors in the group would pool their watch collections (about 100 wrist watches), and display them at antique fairs, collectibles shows, watch shows, etc. So we needed watch stands- a LOT of them. The one in the image is from my photo file, but it gives the idea. Two of our group pooled out talents to make more than enough to do the exhibits.

    LOL! :D

I also don't use a watch stand. My watches live in boxes with compartments.

OF is great because you learn so many new things. Today I have learned that "watch stand" is a thing!

    Me too.

I was wondering why I hadn't noticed a watch stand in my neighborhood and had we one, I wondered what kind of watches would be there along with candy and cigarettes. ::psy::

I don't use a stand, always concerned the thing would fall over with a light knock.

I use two types depending on how I want to display the watch....upright or on its side. Both work well in my study's display cases. I also use the small ones to display various coins and medallions.

No issues with the stand up version unless the watch is very heavy....but is fine for Speedmaster-types with bracelets. It's nice to sit in my room at night with the audio system on, and overhead track lighting and display case lights showing off my watches along with some clocks and artwork. I see no need to hide them all away in watch boxes or safe unless I'm gone overnight or for an extended period. A lot depends on your neighborhood and level of security.

Instead of a sub. on the watch stand, I should have posted my speedmaster on the watch stand so I won't get burned so badly... LOL!

It would actually be interesting to see some (though the prawn are likely to remain the most practical option)
