What was your first vintage Omega?

Looking through my Omega watches today I started thinking about the 1st vintage Omega that I ever purchased. It was the pictured Omega Constellation that I purchased in about 1999. It still has the original Omega bracelet. After all these years I still find it a good looking watch. Love the textured dial.

What was your first vintage Omega watch?

<-------- that one.

If you're going to do it, might as well jump in with both feet. Here's a better look:

Feels like it was only a few days ago when I acquired my first vintage Omega...Oh wait, it was! Well technically like a week😁

Better to be lucky than good. 2998-6. First Omega and first vintage watch. Scruffy but runs like a champ.

This also falls into the category of “better to be lucky.....”. I had no idea of what I was buying on that eBay auction 20 years ago. 3594CDCA-8652-4849-AEC2-4B459D3B8214.jpeg
Looks mostly good to me... a little too polished, and something funny with the hands, but that’s a subject for another time.

Early adventures in digital photography.

Had already had this Constellation for several years when the photograph was taken. Was a late 1990s Ebay purchase from some South American country that will not be mentioned. Smugly wore it as my "daily driver" for several years. I think I enjoyed acquiring and wearing this watch as much as any subsequently gathered in. Later put a "beads of rice" bracelet on it just because I liked the look. Finally decided it sported a redial so thought to redo it in an effort to obtain a better appearance, but then joined OmegaForums and discovered that all redials are not so well thought of. Still runs great. Was serviced again a couple years back.

Steep learning curve for me as my first was a franken Connie/Seamaster and second was this refinished 2577.

Here's my second one. I'd rather not admit to the first!

I don't wear it much these days and it's due another service which I'm reluctant to pay out for, but I don't think I could bear to part with it.

This was attractively priced and impressed me with the redial quality.
I thought that I could always get the bent logo fixed. I am not so sure that it will be possible without a new redial, though. Keeping it as it is. IMG_5407.JPG
