I cannot for the life of me figure out how this kind of juvenile nonsense is better than the silly ‘WUS’ like threads so often bitched about... and in a thread about vintage Omegas, a topic the uppity ‘holier than all other’ crowd should have fully gotten behind.

This was not vintage when I received it for my first Omega as a graduation gift in 1973 from my mother-n-law.

This one was my first vintage Omega that I purchased on eBay in 1998. Cal. 1481 from 1974.

Looking through some old photos and found this one which made me remember this thread. Pic was taken in 2013 so I haven't been buying vintage as long as I would have thought.

Was a little 9ct Geneve, loved it at the time but it's long gone now.

1976 Speedmaster Pro bought as a daily wearer 20 years ago. When bought I was told this was a 69 and at that time did not understand the difference so assumed that it was 1969 for a long time. Worn daily for many years. Lost the original bezel out jogging after my three year old kept tugging on it!. Hands got too overpainted and were recently replaced with another Tritium set. Crown i think is original, pushers were replaced after one fell off two years in.....
Still on the original 1175 bracelet.
Not perfect but absolutely love this watch. Cannot imagine selling it.

My first Omega was a 54 Constellation 2782 with bumper 354.

Helped to clean up the house of a deceased man and get the watch as a present. We had found it during the cleanup and she almost flew into the garbage. The watch was in miserable condition at the time and I let her work up.



This happens in the mid 90ties. A redail was made as you can see from the fonts and the wrong "Chronometer" instead of "Chronometre" spelling. I didn't notice this in that time. However, it's still a beautiful watch.
