Good morning OF members
I am delighted to show my new acquisition a handwind Flagship.
Not able to access the movement so all I can guess it is probability cal. 285. Would like to have your thoughts on this model. It is a Star Watch case, 10k gold filled, dial seems original although the crown is not signed. It is wise to have the piece serviced by watchmaker professional ASAP but here in this part of Asia (Vietnam) Lunar New Year festivities has begun so I need to keep from asking watch servicing until Mid-February. Then I will take some movement photos.
Anyway I would like to receive info on this watch.

1/ To me it's obvious that the timepiece was back then (1960s?) cased in States - as other Longines-Wittnauer watches I found on Internet did. The lack of raised "flagship" logo seems not unfamiliar with Longines cased in US...

2/ Once I have movement pics and serial number inside the case and on movement I will write to Longines Heritage Department to obtain more info on this watch.
Until that day please share your insights on this watch.

Thank you in advance.

Vintage Longines Tre Tacche bearing the reference 5182 in a 35mm stainless steel step case. It is fitted with a Longines manually wound mechanical movement, caliber 12.687. It was invoiced on 16 June 1943 to the company Ostersetzer, which was at that time our agent for Italy according to the excerpt from Longines.

The case on this one is so clean. Even the luminous compound looks like it is in good shape.

You actually have to hold in your hands to feel this one. No pictures I have taken is doing justice to this one. The case is sharper than a recent reissue I got from Longines. The company is no where close to what it was.
