One of my favorite Longines in my collection. WW1 era sweep seconds with perfect original dial.....
Magnificent. Have you obtained an extract of archive and may I ask what the serial number is?

Maybe invoiced to France, as per "Suisse" at 6 o'clock.

This one is just a first gen, four hander, before the minute recorder (fifth hand) was introduced, its serial is the earliest Ive seen from July 1938, sent to Baume in London. Here’s the Longines cheat sheet on the 12.68z stop

Hi larry,
Great information, really appreciate it. Starting a small collection of Longines chronographs and still in the learning phase. Information such as you replied with is an enormous help.
Best

Put it on today as your post reminded me it’s in the drawer. 1948 14kt Gold with some interesting lugs.
LTC saw it and said that’s nice, I would wear that....🤬

Not a problem. Does that tell you anything?

In this instance nothing specific, just when I see a nice Longines watch I just like to know what year and country it was sold to... thanks again for sharing it, it’s really lovely 👍
