Very nice pieces @Syrte and @vefaborovali! Love those simple 3-hand-watches and incredible movements inside. Take it to (good) service and they run most exactly with no troubles. Today daily beater again on wrist, includes period correct pig skin strap.
Still on my wrist, though this picture was taken a while back. As of today (Wednesday), this 90 year old watch has been on my wrist for 10 days, and as of this morning it has gained 5 seconds in the 10 days. Had I not seen it, I wouldn’t have believed it!
May I ask where this number comes from? I have seen a wide range of numbers that would suggest otherwise (i.e. >3000).
Didn’t know I had to put the source each time I put something here. If you are so interested you may try google. And if it bothers you I may even delete the post
You do not need to post the source each time you post here. However, this is a forum where people share information about watches. Your post does not bother me, I am simply curious where you came across (or how you deduced) the number 3000. I have used Google before and not found any conclusive evidence. Here is a discussion that you may know of: https://www.mwrforum.net/forums/showthread.php?32697-high-number-Longines-DH-watch-WW2
1950’s American-cases “King” in 14k solid. 22l manual wind, pretty standard US piece during this time. Some spotty patina and small by modern standards but nicely understated and comfortable.
