I'm waiting for more pictures but any idea on the reference number? Looks like a gold plated undersized Compax?

Red starts with 4 … looks ok to me … 35mm is actually a nice size.

Ugh .. Reference .. 4 should mean gold plated. You definitely need more pics and hands in different positions.

Thanks to @Larry S for the insight on the ref numbering. I'm pretty sure it is ref 42417. I found very little online about this particular model.

Also, I see what @Larry S is saying about the hands. They are right on top of the hour markers which might be causing the minute hand to look short.

Even if the hands are fine, it looks like there is a good size chip in the plating by the top lug. The seller is asking $1.6k. Originally, I thought it might be a good deal, but with the watch being gold plated, chipped, and potentially having a short minute hand it is probably a pass entirely.

Plated are generally not vey collectible. I missed that chip.

There is loss of plating on three of the lugs and if the watch had been angled differently I am sure we'd see some on the fourth as well. The dial is looking really lovely!

Aside from the chipping on the lugs the watch appears to be in great shape. The dial is lovely. I can't find a sales reference anywhere. Any idea on market value? $1.6k seems high.

I did. Nothing on this reference at all.

Here are better pictures of the lugs and the chipping.

The seller is not able to provide a clear shot from the top...
So I am also not convinced that these are correct UG hands, the tail is quite small and the minute hand is quite short.
Does the watch run? The minute hand is always in the same position, but the chrono hand moves.

Personally, save up for a good Uni Compax or Compax. I think this watch has too many issues even if you get the price down. You will be instantly unhappy with this watch.
