Well... it's finally done. After six months of searching, I finally found a 145.8.89 at a reasonable price. I was very patient and so was my girlfriend. It's weird knowing she has my most valuable watch (I downsized some time ago to stretch my watch dollars further). I will be envious, for sure. It's radiant and gorgeous. Here are some pictures before she takes it from me. A shot on my wrist:
What to do? Almost nothing. That's the price to pay for expecting support to our weird hobby. Curious that's happening to nice JLC around here. Beware...... http://omegaforums.net/threads/happy-wis-wifes-tale-and-mixed-feeling-husband.11754/
There is no truer statement to a peaceful household. Windy wiggles her way into EVERY activity I have. Fishing? That means I'm not only catching dinner, but cooking it a way she'll like. Wine? Went on a road trip last week to grab a deal on some Lynch- Bages bordeaux and a few very good bottles of Huet Premiere Trie vouvray….. and she got me for 3 bottles of J.J. Prüm Spatlese riesling and 3 more bottles of a lesser name (truth be told I didn't look because it didn't matter). And let's not get into how many times a new vintage watch has been delivered only for Windy to see it and claim it. "Mine? Mine? Mine?"
beautiful watch! My wife just asked me to get a battery for a watch I got in a bundle (which included 3 swiss mechanical and one handwind timex for 80 cents per watch). She doesn't like the watches I wear.
