I don’t eat before 12pm.
(I have been doing intermittent fasting for about 7 years now)
I used to just eat lunch too, and honestly it was pretty good weight, morale and body composition-wise

These days I love breakfast and over-eat my second/last meal while I could get away with not eating it at all

95% of time my breakfast is coffee, but a breakfast I can still taste years later is pho from a tiny streetside stall in Hanoi...

When WFH wholemeal bread and marmalade .. and then Weetabix and All-bran mix mid-morning. Porridge also gets a vote in winter (honey or sultanas /raisins - no sugar). When I am on an early start / travelling I do go eggs and bacon (small portion). A few times a year a full English (or Scottish or Welsh depending on hotel location) is a well received treat (with HP sauce and I do take baked beans). When my late father had a heart attack he asked his doctor why. The reply was ''I don't know if it is the lack of exercise, the smoking (Marlboro) , the drinking, lack of sleep or the fried breakfast every day - but one or all of them might be the main factor'' (My Dad got the message and did make some changes after that :0)

I thought this thread should have at least one picture of a proper, full and hearty English (or Scottish or Welsh or Irish) breakfast .....

I was told that eggs are good for the brain and I need all the help I can get, so it’s two eggs over easy with a local habanero hot sauce and 3-4 cups of coffee. There’s an app on my phone that tells me that my breakfast should be bigger, but I like to save room for snacking.

Scrapple is an unusual choice but appreciated. My dad went to Valley Forge M. A. in PA as a boy and he introduced me to it years later. Breaded with egg and Italian breadcrumbs. But, it’s not my favorite.

The traditional Jewish breakfast for me please. My old boss was Jewish and anytime we had an early morning staff meeting he’d have catered in, among the usual eggs, bacon, etc., this:

Bagels
Toaster
Lox or smoked salmon
Capers
Chopped onion
Cream cheese.

Wow! It was a little ceremony assembling it all. One VP was also Jewish, so she, my boss, and I would be the only ones at the 16-person conference table enjoying the world’s greatest breakfast. 😀

I'm not completely a creature of habit, so sometimes oats(rolled or steel cut) honey/cinnamon/walnuts with blueberries.

Other times, poached egg on English Muffin with mild Italian sausage patty/Canadian bacon with apricot preserves/home fries.

And sometimes a whole grain cold cereal/milk/biscuit/preserves/hash browns.

Rare, but sometimes a Omelet/onions/mushrooms/cilantro/salsa with hash browns and toast.

Mix and match oftentimes.

But always with oj and a banana (whatever the main) eaten first while reading over the sports/OF/local weather.

No coffee/tea, never acquired a taste

I do my 45-60 minute morning walk when first awake and drink lots of water on the drive home. 10-16 ozs most mornings. Lots of water throughout the day and evening.

Breakfast usually begins sometime between 10-11am. So, I guess it can be called Brunch.
