Dang I took this in 2011 back when I still used a DSLR lol. D7000 with a 50 Still have that G-Shock too!
Took me a looong time to figure out the lighting tip, so fundamental to taking great shots in general!
I had a Nikkor 60mm which was awesome, but overkill for me at the time so I sold it (kicking myself). Now I have a 105mm, but the Nikkor was too pricey, so I bought the Sigma 105 f/2.8 used and it works darn well. It's heavy and clunky and doesn't focus fast, but it's usually on a tripod and I have plenty of light so that it doesn't need to be fast. D600 camera (also bought used). The great thing about buying used is that if you don't like the lens, you can sell it for what you paid or close to it, and so you're only out eBay fees to "borrow it" for a few months. Heck, I've actually even made money (small money) on a couple of them.
