I commented very early on in this thread and since that time my threshold has changed somewhat. I am actually thinking about selling a bunch of watches most of them that have some dial blemishes etc. there is only one that I’d end up keeping and it’s an old omega 26.5. Other than that I’m thinking about selling a bunch of watches because I have too many and consolidating into ones that are in better condition and bring me more happiness just makes sense.
The first is a 2446C GMT sold by A&F. It's definitely had a hard life - the bezel is almost completely faded, and only catches a hint of the original red and blue when the light hits it just right; straight on, it just looks like a silver ring. The lume has bleached completely white. But with "Abercrombie & Fitch Co." on the dial, and the untold stories this watch might hold, I had to have it.
The second is a Heuer 7763C, and it's seen better days too - the outer edge of the bezel is worn smooth from use, and the dial and hands show heavy wear. But there's something attractive about that faded dial. The watch just has some mojo about it.
