What is this SMDV dial?

I had a concussion today skiing so Im not 100% there mentally. My kneejerk reaction is this is a redial ala buff the original brass dial blank with an angle grinder. Thoughts? Everything else about it looks damn good sans maybe over polishing on the caseback bevel.

Appreciate the wellwishes. I'm a LOT better today. I was in kind of a haze all day yesterday with limited cognition. Thanks for pointing that out, i clearly missed that a long with a lot of other things yesterday haha.

Big Sky MT! Beautiful out here. First time having the confidence to try double blues. Although this should be a reality check to me that I'm out of shape and in my 40s now haha. Have you been anywhere this season???

Glad you are better.

You got lots of time to go, was skiing with some retirees at Mammoth, we were pretty much double black all day. No chutes though.

Nice. I’m up in Tahoe about to check out the conditions after a week of rain snow. Definitely feeling my age up here.

So this could have been much worse, with out that helmet?

Think I have to start using a helmet when skiing, even if I am Norwegian. I am old enough to start learning to do stuff right. I always use them for work and motorcycling.

Yeah, I imagine I would have knocked myself out without the helmet on. Fortunately its the norm now from what I can see. Tramatic brain injuries are no joke and do not care what nationality you are. Good news, I get to buy a new helmet now. Fractured the shell and lost a small chunk of foam. 😉

The helmet did its job and took most of the force. Good investment. Hope you’re feeling better. Tahoe was nice today and I was worried because it had rained a few days ago.
