https://www.undone.com/en/watch-detail/undone-simpleunion-urushi#productSpec Looks too much like my Majetek, and the funky "Califoriental" dial speaks to me.
I don’t blame you. I like weird quirky looking things up to a point. Some go a little to far but this remains within reason is I can appreciate it. I’m also seeing quite a few of them on Reddit, I think they are onto something good on you.
They call it a Kyoto dial, there is a restaurant near me that calls itself Califoriental style cooking. It seemed to fit well to me http://www.hosumbistro.com/
Fun watch, I just wish it was an actual Urushi lacquer dial, but for under $500 USD, that's asking too much... Congrats on the pickup! I am eager to see it on the wrist
I don’t know that much about those. What confuses me about them is that they are much larger then the vintage Rolex they are a tribute too. Undone takes a lot of inspiration but doesn’t copy...
I like some of the Undone lineup. I fell for their customizer, was able to choose handset, bezel insert (sterile vs graduated), case finish etc. Put together a mil inspired look that I wear more often than I thought I would.
Very cool! I really like what Michael Young is doing with Undone - I need to get on with supporting them by buying a watch. Thanks for the reminder.
UNDONE has a nice selection of straps to choose from; ended up choosing a 2 pc that was fine for a while. But agreed, nothing like a good quality single pass through strap like this one in shell cordovan that I have on it now.
