What do you think about this Speedmaster misprint bezel?

Hello everyone!

It’s my first post in the OF community, after reading a lot of threads, and mostly learning a lot. Thank you very much for the contribution!

I am a watch enthusiast and lover who likes collecting watches and wear them! I am fascinated by the history, the technical specifications, and to be honest I love watches and sometimes it’s difficult to explain why...

After my researches, reading, analyzing, etc.... I bought my first vintage Speedmaster. It’s a 145.022-69 in the correct range of the mouvement and year for a misprint bezel!

Here is a picture of the vintage:

It’s not my first Speedy as I have a Apollo 13 silver snoopy ( It’s actually my first Speedmaster) and it’s the watch that made me start exploring the Speedmaster world with it’s complexity and history!

(Sorry for the quality......)

I am writing this thread to have your opinion on this misprint bezel.

I compared it to the one on the moonwatch only book and it looks correct.

Thank you for your help.

Just curious...Is it your intention to put your 220 bezel on your '69 Speedmaster since it doesn't have a DO90 bezel?

Not at all! My watch mouvement number and production year is in the range of the misprint bezel and not the DON bezel.

DON bezel’s fits a wider range of ref watches but the misprint comes only on the 145.022-69 with a specific mouvement number range.

my watch was produced in novembre 70.

I think that's a yes. You'll put the 220 bezel on the '69. Nice looking example, and the DNN is by no means the worst example. I imagine someone will ping you via IM to purchase. If that's your intention....

BTW - you might want to delete some of the dupe pictures. (Nice snoopy)

Didn’t make up my mind about keeping the DNN or not. As I am new to the forum I’ll observe how the deals work.
Agree for the snoopy!

How much did you pay for the 220 if you don't mind me asking. Thanks

I believe you missed my point. That being your '69 doesn't fall in the DO90 range but it does for your 220 bezel thus your 220 bezel goes on.

1200€. Way less than a DON but still expensive..... I don’t see much misprints and it matches my watch. I’ll probably sell my DNN to reduce the global price.

Thank you @rob#1 . Really appreciate it.
Any thoughts on the one I posted?

Looks fine to me, but I’m no expert on these. I do like the quirk of this misprint and as it likely matches what was on the watch originally I’d stick it on.

This is the one I got a few weeks ago for my -69.
How much did you pay for it if you don’t mind telling me?
