What do we think of the Sedna gold Seamaster?

I'm asking as there doesn't appear to be anyone on this forum who's gone full bore for sedna gold on bracelet. I've been so pleasantly surprised at how much I'm enjoying wearing my silver seamaster, I'm having a lot of unnatural thoughts about the full sedna gold version.

Ref 210.20.42.20.03.002, and here's a pic I took a good while back at an AD just before I bought my Yachtmaster. I was dead set on the TT SMP until I went away for a weekend to London and came back with the YM.

My thoughts are that the Omega is really good value to own as a TT watch (assuming I never sold it - the resale on this would likely be pretty poor). If I kept my 9300 speedy for sentimental reasons, flogged my PO and Seamaster, I would have a lovely, smart every day wearer in the TT seamaster)

Most people won't spring for an all gold model due to price or not being comfortable wearing it. But if you like it do it, an all gold version always has a different feel than SS.

Ah I didn't even know they did an all gold version. That would be too much for my taste. As far as I knew they do a two tone sedna gold blue and black version. It's the smaller links in the new flat bond bracelet that are gold, same stainless bracelet as the regular SMP.

The two tone on rubber is £4800 RRP, on bracelet £7200. Seems a huge price hike for not a lot of gold, but I did love it.

I'm going to get exactly this watch, in blue and Sedna gold... once I've sold my current watch (I'm a one-watch guy).

With the exception of certain Speedy models, tool watches, especially divers don’t work in gold for me.

Yea, I kind of agree with you. I will say though, I was sorely tempted after trying on the black dial version with rose gold and rubber strap. It's that nice.

Agree - big jump for little gold, but I like the little gold - it has a subtle elegance.

Not really my thing. When it comes to Omega sport watches, I usually go for stainless. Especially on bracelet. If it were a dressier watch on strap per-say, then hell yes.

I actually like it a lot.
I thought about it quite long. But then settled for the blue/steel version. The price (chf 9700 / metal bracelet) is just way too high: it gets you two on a stainless steel bracelet (at chf 4800). Way too much for a little gold.

I wonder if they'll eventually be good value to buy second hand? Potential to depreciate more than a steel?

i recently bought the sedna gold blue bezel on blue strap and love it, such a nice contrast of colours out in the real world, being my 3rd and most recent omega it is getting more use than others although the tintin bought 12 months ago is yet to be worn 🤦

Although you really don't need a gold watch for diving, for those of us who don't dive but love these watches (gold or stainless steel,) I think they are pretty amazing.

Mine combo. Love it

Nice, very nice. Blue strap looks awesome with the sedna. You don't happen to have the part number of that strao do you, it would go well with my blue PO *IF* my plans to go sedna SMP don't come off and I end up keeping the PO.

So many options!

I understand how some people are averse to gold on a diver... however your combo is stunning. For me the watch’s proportion of Sedna gold to blue is bang on. Very classy.
