What do you mean does it match? The speedy goes with basically everything.

I think it looks good. Enjoy it.

Sub bracelet on a Speedmaster. Looks a bit strange to me. So I’d say no, it doesn’t match.

Honestly, it wouldn’t be my favourite combo but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I’m a big fan of Forstner. Once the 1450 president went on my PO 2500 LM LE, I thought it was complete. If I ever get a Speedy moonwatch, I’ll prob go for the 1450.

Your watch, your choice. I like Forstner stuff in general. My favorite Forstner bracelet for a modern Speedy is probably the Bullet, which I have on my 3570.50.

Does it match?

I personally like it - a good combo, it gives a solid purposeful look, albeit in a non-OE design/look. But only watch nerds like us would know it’s an Oyster/Rolex style.

I wouldn’t care though: it’s like mounting Porsche design rims on an BMW M3. If you like the design - wear it in good health

Personally, I do like the oyster style bracelet. Wouldn’t be my first choice on this watch but I don’t mind it. If you like it then that’s all that matters!

On an unrelated note, what do people think about the Forstner vs Uncle Seiko 1450 bracelet? I don’t have any experience with Forstner, but I do have a US bracelet for another watch and like the quality. Quick search shows most people prefer Forstner so I was wondering if there’s any particular reason that I’m missing!

If I had to guess, probably a couple of things. In no particular order, it's the original company from back in the day so nostalgia. The stretch in the links by the clasp which expands enough during the day. The overall construction of the bracelets being a little better quality. Little more in price but overall better construction

I am starting to look at the Forstners for my 3861.

Looking at the Contemorary Flat Link and/or the Model J.

Wish Omega offered these options.

Flat link is nice. I will consider it in the future. Currently, I will fit my Speedmaster on 3861 bracelet which I purchased recently.

Hard to get a sense of quality/weight without handling the bracelet in hand. Are these only available on line?

This doesn't do it for me. The bracelet doesn't look the same quality as the Speedy because it's simply not.

I have the equivalent Uncle Seiko Soyuz bracelet and absolutely love it, but also rotate between the pricey OEM Apollo 50th flatlink and both canvas and rubber straps.

If you like it, go with it and enjoy it!!
