Mitsukoshi dial and handset (hands not shown). Super excited to get this project going 😎

Just need to sell a couple of things first..

That seems worth putting a couple things on the chopping block. Good luck with the project!

Yesterday's Haul.

Most of this came from a 99cent starting bid seller. Who can not resist 3 buck watches?

The crystal is generic, but does seem to fit the Dynamic case.

Had to pay more for the constellation C case. There are really no guts behind the dial so I got it really cheap. That will get it's own thread later.

Have most of the parts to fix the 620 movement. 650 movement actually ticks. Winding rotor does not fit anything I have. Was thinking 660 might share parts with 670. -- but no.

Another 505 part.

The Landeron bridge came from a different seller (France.) Strange how shipping works. I got the 99cent stuff in a week. Import item closer to 4 weeks (or a full month.)

Should be more stuff coming in a few days.

Meanwile time to get out the sprinkles and stars ...

Large assortment of Ladies watch parts arrived today. I like puzzles. I already have some parts from 30 years ago.

Had so much fun resuscitating the thee buck 620, I want to do it again. This assortment cost the same as a single part. Never ask the real value of a watch.

The other 342 assortment came today. Some of this I have had 30 years some less than a few hours.

There were actually two assortments sold by the same seller month or so apart. Combining them makes for the better part of two watches. Probably only enough parts for one watch movement. No balance wheel. Those do sometimes turn up from time to time when not looking.

Curiosly I also got an assortment of like 10 470 dial screws. I only needed one, Also found 3 sweep pinions. And 3 30.6 mm signed crystals with silver rings. None of what I really need, hard to resist when they come up in a job lot.

Found some 630 parts too. Added another movement holder as well. Seem to be sorting and working on multiple watches a lot lately. Sometimes I take one of the old ones apart to check screws or placements. The old ones need cleaning anyway.

My Omega breeding program seems to be working, there are a dozen or so in this photograph.

New rubber strap for my SMP Tokyo.
Tried the white Paris rubber strap but unfortunately it only comes in the standard length which is no good fit for me. So I went for the standard blue one in short.

Plunder! Just in after my raid on the Hodinkee sale… the pliers are for bracelets (not sure they work well on straps?)

A Straight Writing case back came up for sale a while back. The case back I have had on the Racing Dial Project was a -71 which slightly bugged me since all the gray racing examples were all -69 examples. Because it’s a project, figured what the hell let’s throw a low bid and see what happens. Turned out I won and just got it on the watch this last weekend. Couldn’t be happier.
