It says "watches", not "wrist watches". So this purchase of this weekend should also qualify. The applications are solid 14K gold.
Postman was nice to me today and brought something else also: I’ve seen these floating around and finally found one for under $100 so thought what the heck…
some new tools, new set of brass tweezers, I've been loving this brands eagle beaked brass so decided to give them a go for straight too, a brass brush pen, and the small hand levers and molykote dx for my continued learning on chronographs. As I continue to gear up for watchmaking school I can see even more toys... I mean tools in my near future
This was a cool Post/Thread! I couldn't help myself when I found this on an auction... Wife not informed yet....
I may need to see photos of these coasters, for research purposes of course, I also have cups in my house you see...
oh my, and right as I find myself thinking about a bracelet for my 3861... mayhaps i will also need a package from the uncle shortly
My first Spiedel. Could never work out what to put my £65 Roamer on but had the inspired thought of getting a pre-owned Spiedel (£12.50 inc postage). My problem was that I only need a 14cm length (added to the 4cm lugs) and although I managed to remove the extra links, I couldn’t fit it together again. However, the very kind seller suggested that I return the strap and he would fix it - which he has.
Oh yea, I was looking for this thread yesterday to share. I got this cool travel/storage case and a Uncle Seiko flat link for the Speedy. The case is only good for up to 40mm including the crown though so only the smaller vintage stuff fits.
Finally found a bracelet to go with this 166.028 A pretty clean 1381 bracelet with 772 end links. I gotta say I’m digging this jubilee with the orange second hand concentric circle dial. (And yes that’s a bunch of loose tritium on the dial). Now the bracelet has been sourced this one is gonna go off to the shop. Also if anyone has an extra link for this bracelet they’re not needing please PM me. (Edit: Extra Links found, extra links no longer needed). And a thanks to @fskywalker for his thread which had the photos of the reference number and ultimately helped me find one for myself.
