Your lift angle is set wrong - should be 50 degrees, not 52.

These are ":easy to use" but to get good information out of them, you still need to understand what the correct parameters are, and set them properly.
The lift Angle affect the error of the watch or only the value of the amplitude?..It's true i do not know which is the lift angle and i will appreciate some explanation. Thank you for your time.

The balance amplitude reading is a calculated value. In order for the machine to calculate the value correctly, it needs to know the lift angle. If you don't input the correct lift angle, the balance amplitude readings will be in error.

Cheers, Al

I bought a house...which is related to watches in that my watch budget is essentially $0 for the foreseeable future...or until the AD gives me a call that my Ed White has arrived...
I would call it your new "Watch Storage Facility" and then it fits the theme of the thread just fine.
Congrats btw!

I didn't need them but it always looks better to others when you have lots of empty spaces😉😀

Bought a vintage diamond clock in Tiffany blue seeing as I won't get anywhere near a Tiffany Nautilus. These used to be electric powered so the vintage shop swapped it out for a quartz powered battery movement. Sadly cause of that the original longer red second hand needed to be swapped out.

I quite like it.
Wife feels 'meh' about it.
5 year old son commented that it's old and ugly and I should throw it out 🙁.

Watch winder… which I really like (what can I say, I am a sucker for anything that follows the design of the Swiss flag: Swiss Army knife, Caran d’Ache Swiss collection, etc.). Well made and super silent!

Below is a stock photo.

I finally got some microfiber cloths. It's crazy how much we forget about watch accessories!

I picked up a generic brushed bracelet for my Maratac SR-35. When these were originally released, they only came on a simple nylon strap. As much as I appreciate how slim the strap wears and doesn’t add any unnecessary bulk it always seemed to just highlight how tall and bulky the case is. I have worn it on a tan leather strap but that just never quite did it for me either. I finally poked around on Strapcode until I settled on this particular bracelet which I think gives the watch a whole new lease on life.

They currently have a titanium revision out with a matching designed end links. It’s not at the top of my priority list, so this works well for me instead.

Next up in my series of “small purchases from the watch budget to bring new life to otherwise neglected pieces from my modest collection of contemporary microbrands.”

this strap is from Hadley Roma via one of their online retailers and it’s on a lum-tech m42 phantom that only sees occasional wear lately. I think the thick brown leather strap spices it up just a touch and works well with that chunky case.

I can’t find the thread on things you bought instead of watches but I’m doing two of these and I can’t help but thinking the nice watch I could have got. Also had to spend the wad I socked away for a nice watch on some arborists as I can take down a tree but I can’t climb and do precision cutting. Damn 2022 is really a bummer so far

A bronze watch bracelet. Hard to come by and one for US$200 is a great price. It is really well made, easy to adjust and very comfortable with a Tudor BB Bronze. I just need it to get a patina naturally as the contrast of old and new bronze is a bit striking. The bracelet was very well packed and overall a quality item. If this is any indication of their watches then they are well worth a look.

When I was doing a lot of woodworking, Lee Valley was a common spot for me, and where I dropped a lot of cash!
