I bought one of the ~$50 winders off Amazon. Works pretty well, I was a little concerned because I had read a few places that some autos don’t respond to winders.

Decided to plug a potential small gap in our home security, ok watches are in a safe and we have other security measures in place but every little helps.

Just received 2 more custom straps, plus one more on the way, then done with my strap splurge for now.

First, grey ostrich with navy stitching for the new 3861. Reminds me of the surface of the moon and goes great with Levi’s.

Next is a cracked black leather with patina color stitching for a 145.022-69.

Both designed for Omega deployant clasps and sized right for my 7” wrist. More choices of material with a better fit (for me) than factory Omega and still less money. Win/win.

Took the original bracelet off, and fitted a lovely Ostrich strap. Hand made by Steveostraps in the U.K. I had a spare no.27 clasp, so got him to make a strap that would fit it. Here it is fitted to my Sparkle dial Seamaster:

Bought a couple of Barton sail cloth straps - definitely would not recommend these. Unused they look great but they wear very quickly. Speedy only has a few days wear.

Also added some fresh leather today, provided by Torrestraps. Boy, are they soft, I’m in love. These straps will get a lot of wrist time.

I picked up three straps the first I did not fair well. It was for the 66 IWC I saw on hodinkee it apparently was first sold with a blue croc strap. Well i tried ordering a blue croc strap but did not read properly when it arrived it’s leather with croc grain.

So I went back to the inter webs and found this brand called Archer. Some of their products are US made I got the old leather look for my KS which may not be the best match but I really like the strap.

I’m not big on rubber and I’m not big on attracting attention but I got this orange rubber band for my ultraman Waltham since the band kinda matches the second hand. Also from archerwatchstraps. Excuse the photos daylight all gone so no natural light.
