What average rate should you be happy with on META calibers?

What do other think is good enough on this caliber? Omega says 0-+6 s/d averaging is within the specs. I would not be happy with a 6k watch that is gaining 5 sec/day.

What do you think? Whats your average rate?

Stay away from mechanical watches and save your money.

Random google search yielded this and is indicative of what you should expect. Quartz or Spring Drive movements would certainly make you happy.

We all know a $20 Quartz is more precise than a $10k watch.
And spending $100k
Or
Buying a Rolex or Patek are not going to get you any better.

( mind you 0-+6 is most mechanical watch companies tolerances but you can get it a touch below and quite possibly 1 to 2+ )

Dude...It's customary and courteous to introduce yourself BEFORE barging in on this forum. I suggest you read your post once more. You're asking what "should" we expect, then you state that those rates "would" not make you happy even if they are within specs of the manufacturer because you paid a lot of money for a mechanical watch.

The only, and I repeat, the ONLY answer to your expectation of seconds per month accuracy is to buy quartz! How hard is that to understand?

No need to argue...

@PappaMella come here looking for answers as to a 5 second per day variation. I give him the answer! Buy quartz! Now it appears that he HAS the answer, and he feels the answer is NOT quartz! Well! If you come here looking for the answer when you already HAVE the answer, why did you ask the question? Huh!

You’re not happy with 5 seconds a day. Why does it matter what accuracy would please anybody else? You’re not pleased, it seems. For accuracy that might please you, I’ve given you my answer. Today, I am wearing a 90 year old Longines, and have for the past 14 days. Today, it is 51 seconds fast, without having been re-set during the 14 days! That averages to + 3.6 seconds per day. Who needs a 6k watch?

I see. You don't have a meta certified chronometer watch so it's difficult to answer my question? . Well I have and it's gaining 1.5 sek/day. My previous Breitling chronomat cosc was averaging 0.2 in 14 days.. Who needs a 6k watch? Well... Isn't this a omega forum where most people have 6k watches?

My 3861 hasn't been reset since end of October and is running at +0.4 seconds accumulated, all comes down to resting it at night in the position which offsets the gain when wearing it during the day.
