BTW. The Timex above is the same model as the first watch I had as a young farm boy in the 70's. Mine did have a NATO type strap though although I don't think that was what they were called back then. Will you sleep better tonight knowing this? 🤦

How about the Hamilton Field Khaki? I think the manual wind version comes in around $260, although I do like the automatics better which are slightly over your budget at around $370 on Amazon.

Just over $300 off of EBay a few months ago. Stole it. Valjouix 22 manual wind column wheel chrono.

You can still pick up a 1960s Seiko 45xx 36,000bph manual winder for about $300 if you're lucky and don't mind stong patina. This was a bit more...
