What are you wearing on vacation?

I always take 2-3 watches and I am going for couple of weeks on Sunday and really can’t make up my mind.

Guess I will be taking a beater for swimming and maybe some real nice extra for the evening.

How do you check how much your tan has been topped up without the no watch white patch?!

Wore the Sub primarily given it was a beach vacation, but was also very lucky in getting a Daytona the day before my vacation started.

I'm new to luxury watches but I also travel to some countries with large socioeconomic disparities (Bangladesh, Botswana, South Africa, India, Cambodia, etc) so I usually just wear my citizen field watch or Garmin 935. I don't like being flashy and consider my Omegas "luxury" items so I'm careful with them.

But those trips are not really regarded as vacation though... right?

I wear on vacation what I wear during the whole year...If I go diving, I take more my 114060 than my 5513 😉

Good question: All were vacation except the Bangladesh trip. We like to travel to places off the beaten path 😉

I’m off to the South of France in August and will take this for beach duties...

And this for pool-side laziness/evenings...

The pool side one deserves beach time too!
Have fun!

This is what I brought with me for my most recent vacation. Covered both hikes and pool time with the kids, and a beer festival/date night with the wife.

When I vacation for more than a long weekend I normally also pack my SKX009 for any more physical outdoor adventures (e.g. skiing, surfing) and my Speedy for nights on the town without the kids.

Bought this around 2013 and had it with me for 3 Italian trips (this is the 3) saying hallo from Bellagio!

It got amazing mesh bracelet and it’s also that inexpensive that it might get ruined and I would care !

Was going to bring my 105.012-65 to commemorate July 20, 69, but didn’t think it was up to snorkeling duty...

Anyone else worried about wearing expensive watches in places that you don't normally inhabit? We are off to the Caribbean on holiday this year (first for all of us) and I'll be wearing a £50 G-Shock for the duration. Bit nervous about security given recent stories I've heard from friends who have holiday in Europe and elsewhere recently.

People get killed for their watches, phones in Brazil, Colombia, etc

Probably many other places as well

Not super smart to flaunt or flash signs of wealth (wearing a nice watch counts) in poorer areas, regardless of country.
