Not so much. I could have skipped this one
Agreed. Very uneven, both in plot and performances. The characters make some of the dumbest decisions I’ve seen in a cop show in a very long time. I found myself paying more attention to recognizing shooting locations than following the story (was shot in Hamilton and Toronto). If there’s a follow up season, I’ll be skipping it.

Bought these 2 DVDS today, there has been a recent flush of DVDS come to thrift shops as the stock of closing DVD shops is being disposed of.

Normally I just download movies off the net with torrents but the last couple of months at a buck a DVD I can just put them thru the 11.2 home theatre system for a fuller effect even though I have watched the downloaded ones already off the computer ( to the big TV screen).

Don't think I have seen Salt before and it came highly recommended by a fellow shopper when I was buying it.
Will watch it tonight.

Arcane on Netflix is amazing, probably the best thing they’ve made in years.

District 9 is exelent, a breath of fresh air to the genre. Salt is if I remember correctly a " who to trust" spy triller, ok I guess.

That would be great. I have seen Blokamp`s next film after D9 "Chappie" fun and different as well. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1823672/
I fear we will all be long dead by the time that the sequel comes out 🙁

The Sticky - 2024 series that portrays a fictional (dark humour) account of the great Canadian Maple Syrop heist of 2011/2012.

Very well done.

Anyone mentioned/watching Shrinking on Apple?
One of those US ensemble character sitcoms that are so well scripted, directed, done, a la Cheers, Frasier etc.

Just watching a re-run of ‘Diamonds are forever' (mainly revisiting my adolescent crush on Jill St John) and thought I’d google which Omega was worn by Sean Connery.

I’m shocked to discover he’s wearing a Gruen Precision 510, a watch I’d never heard of before.

And that he wore it in three other Bond films 😮

Just finished The Day of the Jackal on Peacock. Excellent all around. 10 episodes.

Watching 'Landman' now on Paramount+. A winner, a perfect vehicle for Billy Bob Thornton.
