I want to add more dial colors. Have a ton of black dials. All different, but looks kinda stale seeing them all together haha

I have quickly become addicted to the watch collecting world. 2025 will see me catching up on servicing. I have bought several Original Owner watches that are overdue for servicing.
Having said that, yesterday a friend offered me another vintage SM300, so all my service money went away for another watch lol.

You know you've caught the collector bug when you have an ever increasing backlog of watches to be repaired or serviced!

Officially none in 2025, but already 2 Watches on 10 of March 😀)), i would say some upgrades on watches that have some service parts to be close to 100% original , a couple of services ( more than 60 Omegas in rotation) , and finally if a miracle append a retail Daytona.

I’m not sure if I’m more, or less, ambitious than you and although I’ve never really thought about a Camaro, the one you’ve posted here looks really nice.

So, on a less ambitious scale;

1. Buy absolutely no watches in 2025,

2. If I can’t avoid temptation, spend no more than £200-250 on any watch, which probably means more Seikos, or revisits to Ali Express

3. Think about selling some,

4. Get my 165.003 repaired/ demagnetised?

5. Obtain parts for two of my Longines.
Well, It's not so much buy anymore watches in 2025. It's more a case of, get my old 321 serviced and wear it more. It's my only watch, so that should be easy enough.

I have noticed that my interest in different straps, for my old 105.012-65, has increased, so maybe I'll add a few more.

I'm more of a guitar collector, than a watch collector. So, I've taken to accessorising my old 1960's, 321, Omega Speedmaster Professional with some lovely 1990's geetars. What d'ya reckon suits the brown dial more?
Fender or Gibson??? Not sure???

Looks alone, Gibson.

(If they're looking at your watch while you're playing, probably won't matter which one.)

I think that you’re more focused on the Fender 😉

The ultimate goal would be to purchase a JLC Deep Sea alarm, but this watch has some sort of a grail status due to high price..

One JLC i managed to purchase back is my good old JLC Polaris Date, so at least this goal is achieved for 2025👍

I would love to get my 2254 back, but the prices have risen so much for this reference that i might look for another good deal else where. Maybe Blancpain Bathyscaphe.

100% Gibson. What color is that baby? I’d get a strap to match her.

It's a 1992 Les Paul Lite, in amber, with an ebony fingerboard. It's a bit easier on the shoulder, than my old Les Paul Custom.

Main collecting aim for 2025 has been achieved... But I'm sure more is to follow. There's a very specific small set of vintage Speedmasters that I would love to add still, providing condition and price are to my liking. It sometimes takes years, like with this 2998, but who knows what more 2025 has to bring.

In parallel, I might be selling a thing or two too.

I'm pushing to save as much money as I can to try and get my first Speedy. Right now, I can't justify the spend until my family and I move into our forever home and are comfortable. Having the money on the back-burner waiting to be spent on a Speedy one day is the plan. In the meantime, I have a cheaper Moonswatch (don't judge - it's the closest I can get to the "real" thing) to tide me over.

After a rocky year 2024 with 6 Breitling Chronomat b01s purchased , I haven't pruchased anything since june 2024. the goal this year is to get my father's cosmic overhauled, my Favre Leuba Sea Raider II overhauled and my Zenith AFP overhauled. A potential purchase may happen with a nice Zodiac SST on my wish list and perhaps a BallEngineer M Skindiver III Beyond 41.5mm DD3100A-S1C-BE. I am only buying if funds allow and only watches in new old stock condition.

1. Sell or gift my first mechanical Seiko SNK803 to someone who might actually enjoy it.

2. Find and acquire the perfect Seamaster 168.024 to commemorate my engagement.

3. Replace the Seiko with a different automatic I can wear on the farm - leaning towards the updated Seiko SRPJ81 or perhaps the limited edition black matte Sinn 104 RS if I get my money up.

I recommend the Seiko SPB143 or Sinn 556 for the farm. I still wear both very often. The Sinn is the best go anywhere do anything watch I've ever owned. I do love a dive bezel tho, so the Seiko fits that bill.

I vote the SPB143. It's on my list. Look for one with a lume plot next to the date window. The first ones didn't have one.

I'm traveling to Tokyo in a few months. I hope to find a Seiko UFO Chronograph to replace the one I owned that was stolen from my home many years ago. I thought it would be fun visiting the many watch stores in Japan.
