After some time on the briny only one choice, haddock avec le pomme frite.
Ok fish and chips out doors, plenty of salt and vinegar and you can have a second helping licking your fingers clean.

Put these on at 9 AM after prepping them with mustard and dry rub last night. Should be ready during the Broncos 1st half. Now it's time to make my BBQ sauce.

    Happy thanksgiving everyone.

Smoked the turkeys with a mix of apple and pecan wood. One was basted with a compound citrus butter and the other a dry rub.

Mrs. E's joint of pork rubbed with sea salt and black pepper and oven-roasted on a bed of chantenay carrots with chopped shallots, leeks, garlic, rosemary and thyme in olive oil, sea salt butter and a dash of red wine.

Kraft Mac & Cheese with Dunkin' Donuts decaf coffee for me tonight...the wife unit and teen units headed down to South Carolina without me since I'm headed to the donut factory tomorrow. Also, I turned the heat off in the house tonight for fantabulous dinner ambiance...good times!

I was having pizza a few nights ago and was about to take a bite when I saw this thing winking and grinning at me:

Tis a mushroom. An evil, evil little mushroom.

The birds may have been cooked the day before, but dinner turned out great. Mashed white sweet potatoes with roasted garlic, balsamic glazed roasted carrots and green beans, two types of smoked turkey (citrus/rosemary & dry rubbed), served with a Washington Syrah, and pumpkin parfait for dessert. The wine may sound like an unusual choice, but the smoked turkey and smokey gravy needed something more robust to go with it.

So f'ing jealous of your KD. Have you tried the white Chedder version from "President's Choice" yet? Might need to import some from Canada. ;)
