You are a brave man. I have actually never tasted surströmning, even though I live right next to Sweden and the family have a summer cottage there, but I hear that it tastes better than it smells 😀

Damn, I tried to find that in Sweden this summer, but the tourist stores at the border did not have it. I would really like to tase it. I have tasted Norwegian fermented char that have kind of the same reputation, but more of getting a listeria infection. Bon appetit.

I also live close to Sweden, and we have a summer house here too.

This looks more like “rakfisk.” It tastes pretty good when you have it with veggies and "lompe" (tortilla) 😁
