Making favorite meal from childhood! We call it "krumpiruša" which means potato pie. Obviously, not a real "pie" but that name is used for ages. Its basicaly crusty dough filled with potatos, onion and a bit of salt and pepper. 😀

Not dinner, but lunch today: my wife kindly made an amazing BLT with sourdough.

Dinner: Paella. No clams or mussels, so we used calamari instead.

Made this last night...stuffed potato skins. Onions, potato (removed from the inside of the spuds) and some Italian sausage...

Button, Oyster, and Shitake mushrooms...

Once all that was cooked down, it was removed and cooled slightly, then some grated cheese added, plus some parsley...

Baked in the oven covered, with a little water in the pan for about 40 minutes. Then a little more grated cheese on top, and baked uncovered for another 15 minutes or so...

Very good - used cheddar this time and if we make this again, I would use something with a little more punch - thinking Gruyere would be good in this.

You say potato and I say potato..... potato/potato... let’s call the whole thing off.... but I did not expect you to say Spud - as. A Brit I did not realise Spud was an international term....I am rather gobsmacked ;0)

A bit of a 'wild' night on Sunday. Muntjac loin with red wine and chocolate sauce, followed by locally picked blackberry and apple pie. Washed down with a rich and fruity Malbec. This will be my last supper post here for a while - looking at the Freezer there is a lot of Muntjac to get through :0)

Baked fresh wild caught Halibut in Avacado Oil with course ground black pepper, oregano, and shaved almonds...plus steamed broccoli and yellow squash...and a fresh green salad in olive oil and fresh lemon juice with avocado, tomato, pear, radishes, chopped green onions, sunflower seeds, shaved almonds, tossed and with croutons added just before plating. Simple French red table wine.
