Bouillabaisse, but with green lipped mussels from New Zealand, cod, shrimp, calamari, vegetables, all in a broth, over a blend of wild rice and white rice. With freshly husked local corn on the cob. (Some folks consider corn to be cattle fodder, or a base for ethanol!) And let's not forget ciabatta bread! This, a favourite at our house.
Sweetcorn is a different crop to field corn, usually grown as a seed crop or for cattle fodder. Sweet corn really is a lot sweeter than field corn

I know I sound like I am repeating myself, because I am. Molluscs again tonight--all weekend actually--with Mrs. Mudderminnow's bread:

I noticed that I had some veal escalopes in the fridge, in a vacuum pack. A week out of date. They looked OK. Opened it up, bit of a smell, but not too bad. Vanished when washed. Decided to risk it - fried them in a breadcrumb coating, and they were delicious. Pleased not to have wasted the food.

Let us know how you're feeling 6 to 8 hours from now. I hope OK.

Week out of date meaning Sell before date or Use before date. Big difference, believe me.

Use before. I'm well aware of the difference, but veal is essentially beef. Believe me, if it was chicken or pork, it would have been in the bin without opening.

picked half a dozen of shrimps at the local fish market that came from the Idean ocean and ended up pan seared over my stove 😜 my personal chef prepared a cheese and meat platter that included, manchego, gouda and American white sharp cheddar cheeses, some Spanish jamón serrano and chorizo, and Italian salami.. garlic-filled olives, spicy fig spread and some local white wine... you get the picture 😉

Cheers!

My turn in the kitchen this evening and I reckon if I keep the wine flowing I just might get away with it 🤦

Marinating some toppings...shallots, tomatoes, olive oil, S&P, and oregano...

Making the dough...

Ready for first rise...

It has risen!

Ready for second rise...

Added some olives as well...

Done and tasty!

Worst pizza this household has produced in the past 20 years--even worse than the toaster-oven pizza that fell onto the floor of our loft in Jersey City in 1999. Needless to say, it was inedible:

Oh, well. Better luck next time.
