Dinner at friends place last night with a number of other couples. We all picked a recipe out of the LCBO's Food and Drink spring 2017 magazine (LCBO is our provincially run alcohol distributor - the largest single purchaser of beverage alcohol in the world apparently), and made it to bring to dinner, along with the alcohol pairing that went with the recipe.

Too busy eating and drinking to take pics, but 7 courses in total, and lots of booze. Feeling a bit wonky this morning...

Tri-tip tonight.

 

Easter dinner was lamb chops, grilled asparagus, and roasted potatoes and tomatoes.

 

Just had a coffee and some hot cross buns ( Monday morning here ) and after seeing your post I'm hungry .....

Have some lamb steaks in the fridge for tonight...

 

The ham was so good. Hopefully I can cook as well as my dear old mother one day!

Was out for a birthday party last night and had this nutritious meal with a nice cold glass of Kronenbourg Blanc

 

Little did I know that OF was filled up with a bunch of chefs. Good lord, you guys.

 

Easter in Belgium with a steaming pot of the Original Mussels from Brussels.

 

Is that Kriek I see? I miss my brief time in Belgium. I could go for a nice Westmalle trappist about now.

 

It is indeed. I'm sure it's found in more places around Europe but I have only seen it on the menus in Belgium and once in Budapest. If it's available I'm drinking it.
