Warm evening here so salad and something light in order.

A lovely summer salad prepared by Annie, fresh Aussie cod cooked in light batter by me, and a 2013 Cape Mentelle Margaret River Sauvignon Blanc Semilllon to wash it down (sorry Stuart, we don't actually drink Willy Willy down under 馃槈)

Fruit beer from Taiwan. It's light (3.5%), sweet, and it works well with Asian food. And it pairs surprisingly well with chocolate too !

Ahh, Aussie food. I lived there for 2 years, and enjoyed Aussie food so much. The garden fresh salads, the sweet and juicy tomatoes, and wonderful beef, fresh fish, and the delightfully affordable wine 馃憤. And the superb coffee of course!

You know, its 4:00AM here and I'm working on boring IT stuff, and trying to help out some difficulties two members have had on FS, then you post this excellent thread and I think a double shot of Cocoa Patron tequila on ice is exactly what I needed. So thank you for bumping this one and please do it more often!

My "dinner" 2 of the last 4 nights consisted of fig & onion marmalade on pita chips with bandage cloth wrapped cheddar, and paired with 2001 Arrowood Monte Rosso Cabernet Sauvignon. It's our last bottle and unavailable anymore ( 馃檨 ) as the winery says the level is down to "historic". However, Joe at Arrowood was kind enough to come out and chat with me about a suitable replacement when we visited Napa & Sonoma last week. We tasted nearly a dozen wines from various years and vineyards, and found the 2003 Monte Rosso was as close as possible. 馃榾 Got a mixed case of that, and two other varieties coming in the next week or two. ::psy::
