After the last great help on buying a '69 Speedy (https://omegaforums.net/threads/what-do-you-think-of-this-145-022-69.33373/) I wonder if you guys can help me out with a new adventure.
The Speedy is great and a keeper! Wear it every week.

I also like the look of the vintage Rolex GMT's and consider of buying a 1675.
Don't have any experience with the brand and what to look for or what a good/realistic price would be.

Here are 3 1675's I found on Chrono24 but have no idea if the wachtes and the prices are right.

#3

Thanks in advance!

Skip chrono24.
Jacek @ (H.Q. Milton) would be where I would buy.
He always has great inventory, will take trades and negotiate.
He's a pure pro and his watches are described honestly.

Neither of those is good. Replaced hands, bogus bracelets, replaced bezels and not a lot of charm.

I agree Hqmilton and also Bob's watches are two good sources.

As for price start setting your expectations somewhere between 9g US to 16g US with a healthy chunk of good pieces falling on the 10 to 14 range.

Don't rule out 16750. Quick set on date wheel is a great feature.

Like any vintage watch, there is a lot to learn about GMT's before you buy.

I would suggest taking some time to read through the volumes of information written by "Springer" on TRF. He is widely considered to be one of the foremost experts on vintage GMT's.

He actually has a small forum that has a lot of very good reference material on variants, dials, inserts etc

Thanks guys!
I really like the matt dial and prefer one without the white gold marker surroundings.
To bad that it's really hard to figure out if a GMT is original or not..

The 1675 was what got me into watches. Inherited my Grandpa's 1964 1675 and have been a watch junkie every since. Good luck with your search!

Nice watch. The tip of the upper marker doesn't look sharp. Is that common?

Yes. Aged tritium gets all sorts of funky volume as it ages and edges often square of or get rounder. Rondo markers also loose symmetry

Nos sure about the bezel insert in that one.

Almost impossible to get an untouched case from a 1675, but if you're lucky it's almost untouched.

What do you think of the slightly 'damaged' 10 hour plot marker?
Would that stop you from buying?

I agree with your statement about untouched v refinished and mentioned it because the sellers statement "The case is very thick , and still has very nice bevels on the lugs."

What are your concerns with the insert?
