I had a 135.041. One of the first watches I bought. I just found a pic from an early post. Now I regret selling it.

With regards to the watch you are considering. That is a hard one only because the price may be very cheap. Personally, I would pass on the watch. The dial is not in good shape and just not that attractive even if it was. The movement looks like it would need a complete disassembly due to dirt and corrosion.

Staying away just because it will require service will keep you from ever buying any used watch. You should assume that any used watch you buy will need a service, unless the seller presents you with a receipt from a recognizable watchmaker saying what was done and dated within the past four years.
And even then, I’m not sure I’d accept it as having been serviced even if provided with a notarised receipt sworn on a stack of bibles!

If you’re spending proper money on a watch - then you will probably want to check it out.

If you’re spending only a couple of hundred euro on an Omega quality watch, wear it for a bit and see.

If I get the watch I think that’s what I’ll do. Thank you

And just talking about 'non-pristine' dials, or dials that show ‘character', some OP have watches in which the dials look like ‘ creme brûlée'. I don’t think I’d wear one of those but, like many OP, I’m happy to wear a dial which shows it’s age and that it isn’t a redial.

Both of these are from the 1950s, and look it. The top watch, a 14704 with a 591 calibre was bought by me two years ago. It runs perfectly. I haven’t yet had it serviced.

The bumper has been serviced. So, you can try and get a watch and just wear it and see how it goes and how you get on with it.

Beautiful watches ! Yes I understand what you mean, I find the dial of the watch just at the limit between the creme brûlée effect and a dial that passes ages. I will send a picture with good light if I got it.

Hello,
I’m new into watches. I bought six month ago a seiko sport 5 as my first automatic watch and it’s great but I want to start a collection. So I’m searching to have to good starter and omega seems to me very good. So I registered in catawiki and saw this watch. I wanted to know what do you think about it, if it is a good idea. For the moment the watch is a 80 but I think I’ll put an offer at 100€ at the end of the sale. It’s finishing Saturday. There is no reserve price. I don’t have a very big budget so I thought I was a good first vintage manual rewind watch
I’m not English so sorry if there are some faults.
Thanks.

nice patena.👍

To be honest, I find that dial quite attractive. But well, that's me, and I can understand others can have some concerns.
Good luck with the auction 😉

Concerning the auction, I have the impression that someone is using a bot. What’s your thought on this ?

The person has put a maximum amount. For you bet for the same amount, the first to have done it takes priority. So, your option is to type an amount superior to his/her maximum (that you don't know what it is).
My advice would be to fix your maximum amount, taking into account extra fees and shipping, and the additional servicing costs and bet for that. The hard part is one to be honest (with yourself) with that amount, and not to fall into the "just a bit more" trap hehe
Encore une fois, bonne chance et patience peut-être 😉

If you really like it, then buy it. But don't buy it just because it's cheap and you think it's a bargain. If you start your collection that way, you will soon have 10 mediocre watches that you don't like very much.

Yes I know that’s why I think I prefer wait and have more money to spend on a better watch that I’ll really like
