What’s this Omega Dynamic ladies reference?

Hey!

I’m new to this community. I’ve been tasked with finding a new strap for my grandmothers Omega Dynamic i ladies from ca 1970.

This is the watch, ladies size and approximately 30mm big.

I’ve orders this strap from timebymail today and haven’t received it yet.

Does anyone know the exact reference for this watch? And if you know anything about it, movement, production numbers and years, fun facts or anything else please let me know in the comments!

I would love to learn as much as possible about this watch, and so do grandma. She hasn’t used in many years because of the straps condition. She talked to a local watchmaker a few years ago and he said that there are no straps for these watches. Then I started searching and bought that strap I mentioned. I hope it will fit and we’ll use the hardware from the old strap. 😁

Hi, welcome to the forum.

I don’t know the reference for the the lady’s version but I have the same for men. There is a document on Desmond’s blog with these.

Finding an original Omega strap is generally quite difficult for these models (talking here from experience on the men’s version) and pretty expensive. There are a couple of shops that do custom ones (but they can also be pretty expensive) for instance ABP concept.

If you do some searches on OF with the name of the model « Omega Genève Dynamic » there are a couple of existing threads that references some of them.

Otherwise best bet is to source a copy like you did. This should do the trick but obviously is of inferior quality.

Often the case has multiple numbers stamped in it.
535.15
536.15
565.15
566.15

My 535.15 cases came with a no date non automatic 630 movement which is somewhat rare.

566.15 is most common which is a date movement automatic. 671 or 681 depending on the jewell grade.

Automatic only no date would be a 670 or 680.

Date variations take a taller crystal than the non date. There is a special tool for removing the crystal.

I have two 535.15/630 apart on my bench at the moment.

I am looking at laser cutting some straps. So far the tests seem promising.

These are fun lady watches. Large for the era as nearly 25mm.
