Here in France now in the second week of being banged up confined to barracks 24 / 7 🙁 😕 🙁
Other half ( Commander-in-Chief ) wife is working from home, Books, files, papers everywhere in the lounge of all places
Working on the internet which includes video conferencing, talking with colleagues for hours on end, blah blah blah...
Telephone calls yak yak yak yak.....
in a voice which is so so sweet & completely alien to me 😕 ????
There is a large office up stairs ( hers ) but it looks like someone threw a hand grenade in the office & closed the door.

Turn that TV off & music is not allowed.... Must have silence 😡
"Oh" whats for lunch came the command & when will it be ready, & i think I'll have a glass of white wine with it too
said the commander-in-chief.
Lunch was served placed on the table along with the glass of wine...
Tastes quite nice said the commander-in-chief,the wine is excellent to.
Table cleared washing up completed... I'm good at that or so I'm told.🙄
Don't you have any other chores to do like the hoovering said the commander-in-chief.
WTF 😲😲😲....
Possible 6 weeks of this bloody hell 🤬🤬🤬
I'm thinking of joining the Resistance or the Foreign Legion at least you can have a laugh
Or may be Boot camp for the Royal Marines or the SAS....

All the above is just a little light hearted fun & humour nothing more.
( what was my line work i was a plumber heating engineer / electrician ) ...
Wish you all well in these troubled times & look after each other.

Hello fellow Heating engineer / plumber - never messed with electrics really but know enough to leave it to the experts 😀. Spending my WFH keeping my gas /electrical engineers busy on emergency works only & trying to dodge all those household DIY jobs that I’ve dodged for years .

In the last year or so before I retired I'd set up a WFH situation.

I had no desire to be reminded of it whenever I wasn't required to work, so:

Just a humble built-in wardrobe (closet?).

And when I did have to work, it just opened up to reveal.........

Nowadays it only gets used when I'm doing our accounts or tax stuff, or when I need to use a big screen.

NOTE THE CABLES!

😁

looks very organized very neat & tidy.... 😀 this reminds me of how my old home office was 10 out of 10...::rimshot::
having moved house last year I'm afraid all my office materials are still packed away in boxes
confined to a spare bedroom along with many many other things... 🙁 they will probably never see the light of day again...
That's another story.🤬
now working off a coffee table in the lounge 🙁....
Anyway Jim very very impressed...
ps i to hate cables running allover the place ( if that's what you mean about cables )
Take care in these troubled times...

I can't get to the studio because of the lockdown --so I'm writing and teaching and making 'art' from the home base. I already had some space carved out over the years, less an office than a sty, for some reason there's more shit in it than ever--or maybe I'm just noticing there's more when I work in the middle of it every day now? Two weeks plus two days, and counting....the dog skulked away when he saw me taking a picture....

Love that.

Although I’m WFH my location remains undisclosed; so long as I’m considered a thought leader by the leader, all good.

As many now know I no longer work but especially over the past weeks I tend to spend more time than usual on line and I came across
explore.org a great site if you are in need of a break.

Spent about half an hour this afternoon just watching young Pandas playing 😀

With you it is pheasants. We had a wild turkey terrorizing a local Neighbourhood, on Sunday. It took a squad of gendarmes to corner it, capture it, and re-locate it.

When I started working a few days from home a week last year, I bought a new desk, monitor, articulating monitor arm, laptop stand, and chair (complete with modded rollerblade-style wheels). It's made for working from home as efficient as being in the office when doing certain tasks, and getting some quiet time in on a Sunday or early, pre-run Monday mornings efficient and enjoyable. Others are still easiest when I am able to discuss something impromptu with my team or coworkers.

The final task is talking my wife into getting rid of the old alarm clock grasping to the corner of the workspace.
