·So this weird watch has been floating around in a box of pipe organ stuff. I thought it was a wind pressure gauge until I looked at it. Tried winding in and shaking it. No ticking. (note that the red on black writing is hard to read and not as clear in the photograph. I did not see that until later.)
Since there is a mounting bar on the back, I found that the case was loose so I opened it.
No wonder it did not tick. Quartz. There is also a maker name which I googled.

So this must have fallen off of someones bike. I asked the other people I work with if they knew where it came from. No one recognized it. I guess the badge on the front should have been an indicator, but I do not know things like that.
The back of the case says Japan movement 5ATM waterproof Stainless steel. So there is not really much 'American' about this. I guess this was a street find and someone placed it into the box with the wind pressure gauges. Might have come with the console I am working on. (some organists like having a clock so they can time performances.)
