Purchased a box of watchmaker junk. Mostly for the gold pocket watch cases. Found this in the bottom along with a few other wrist watch pieces. Parts were scattered. Balance and pallet were broken clean off. Luckily I had a donor (gave his life) of lesser value. Not that clean but what do you want for an open dial rattling around in a box for 20 years. Fired right up. Keeping time.
Time is not advancing consistently. Clutch issues To further complications, one of the screws holding the dial down is broken off. I now know why it was at a watchmaker (and why he blew off the repair). Time for surgery
