    Hi everyone,

I was thinking that it might useful to have a database of acronyms commonly used on the forum. Some stuff still confuses me and I can't imagine how confusing it would be to a new member.

Let me know your thoughts on this. I'll get things rolling:

OEM: Original equipment manufacturer. Essentially, this means the the item is produced by the original company.

For example, an OEM Omega bezel was produced by Omega, not a different company.

Yes, please! I understand why people do it (it's a "we belong and you don't") thing but it really annoys me because they're inconsistent. :)

Members come & go. Some burn out, some go out in a blaze of glory, some just vanish. That's the interweb for you.

The one that confused me the most when I first saw it was GLWS: for a time too long to admit I thought it meant “great looking watch, sucker!”

There's a scene in 13th warrior where the Antonio Banderas character learns the language of his captors.. one of the best language cross over scenes ever. That's what happened to me, here. After a bit of time, it just all became clear.
