Up until the last 2 posts, I was sure I had the most mundane vehicle on the forum: a 2008 Toyota Corolla with 137,000 miles. I'll drive it until the tires fall off.

I don’t consider my Concord (and AMC generally) to be mundane. Now, Toyota?.............. I don’t want to get into a spitting match! At least pre-Renault AMCs were North American! (Though I am Canadian). 😁 I’d like to park my Concord next to your Toyota at a s&s, stand back, and see which one gets noticed!

Oh yeah?

I’ll continue to drive my 2007 Ford Police Interceptor after the tires fall off, dude. 😁

Shackle lift in back? Front end too low, rear end too high.
No, sir...must be an optical illusion due to the angle of the pic...pictured below is a better angle...

You have at least another 100,000 miles to go if my Toyota Fj80 is any indication.

I hope so. I put the 100k mile badge on it, and have the 200k badge sitting here on my desk. If/when it does finally kick the bucket, I'll probably buy another blue Corolla.

Toyota has at least 6 plants in the US, including their factory in Blue Springs, Mississippi where Corollas are built.

If they didn't have American made vehicles, they would not be allowed to compete in NASCAR.

A Japanese car is a Japanese car, regardless of where they are assembled!

🤦

And Chinese made watch parts are Chinese, no matter where it's asse...... um, strike that. 😁 Chinese made watch parts are Swiss if assembled in Switzerland by workers who make more money per hour. 🙁

It's a global economy. If the Japanese build it better, they get my money. A Chrysler engine would have spontaneously combusted by now.

Corolla = (to use your words), mundane! The Chrysler 4-liter IL6 cylinder engine (no longer built) is basically a 4.2 liter IL6 AMC engine, produced for over 40 years. My AMC engine is 40 years old, and has never had a repair. Pointless discussion!

Yes, considering that since the 80's (their 2.2L), the turn of the century (their 2.4L), through just recently, Chrysler has recalled MILLIONS of vehicles for engine fires.

So if you have a 40 year old Chrysler engine that hasn't caught fire, you might have the last decent power plant the company built.

Any other Mini enthusiasts here? 2017 Cooper S. I've been thinking about adding the JCW exhaust package to this for some extra HP and nice sound:

Oh yeah?

I made my own freaking badge to celebrate the first 100k miles. 😁

That old faithful Fiat 500 today, for its technical inspection (every 2 years)

Nothing - and I mean absolutely nothing - to report, 100% in working condition ... not bad for a 50 yo car, isn’t it ? 😀

Best car ever built is Mercedes W123/w115 240D. A 1974 240D has made it over 2.6 million miles. I can't say I'm not biased I am giant Porsche and Mercedes fanboy.
