If it makes the Alfa guys feel better, in 2008 I bought a Chrysler Crossfire repairable write off as an impulse purchase. Your choices were way smarter than mine. Don't go to a car auction after having too many beers at lunch, or you can wake up the next morning a Chrysler owner.
I drive LR Defender 110-93 incase water trapped in this rain season in Jakarta.
i love it as one of the dream car since young...
I argue that's not a Chrysler. It's a Mercedes Benz in all but sticker. My buddy had an srt6 one.
That's part of what made me buy it, I figured its an R170 so even Chrysler couldn't screw it up too badly but it turns out I was mistaken. The design leaves the car with about as much rear view room out the back as a Lamborghini Countach, the side mirrors are pretty much useless due to the wide rear guards so there are huge black spots making it very difficult to change lanes.
Then Chrysler insisted on a weird 18" front and 19x9" rear wheel setup that ruined the ride and performance and forced you to buy uber expensive low profile tyres for a car with no guts and too much weight to need that much contact patch. Then the gear ratios are totally wrong, so even though its a 5 speed, only 3 speeds are actually usable as it carries the same ratios as the SRT6 but with ~115hp less power, and on top of that and stupidly heavy and wide wheels they also somehow managed to make the drag much worse than the R170 Mercedes it was based on, its about as aerodynamic as a brick.
Every single body panel on the car was unavailable due to Karmann going bankrupt at the time, and due to the Chrysler / Mercedes split, Chrysler no longer had access to any parts and Mercedes refused to supply them without a Mercedes VIN. Then every bit of the interior that they replaced with their own had silver paint that rubbed off when you touched it... I've tried to forget most of the misery that was the Crossfire, it really was a step-kid neither company wanted. Alfas are at least nice to look at and feel good to sit in which makes you forgive the rest, this thing just had no redeeming qualities.

Sounds like a Chrysler to me.
My daily driver is a 2007 Ford Police Interceptor (P71). I purchased it new in 2007 from a Ford fleet dealership and then had it mildly modified with Ford Racing components and a mild SCT tune. I became ridiculously interested in Ford Police Interceptors while driving them on urban patrol as a Cincinnati Police Officer from 2004 through 2006.
Why not just get the Marauder? My understanding was mechanically there are interceptors with better interiors, and cost equivalent to a citizen getting the interceptor package.
Also not sure if you know about this.
